In her studio practice, Rebekah has sought to follow the thread of curiosity wherever it leads—often exploring the interconnectedness of our natural world with the human experience.

In 2023, her creative attention was drawn to the ephemeral dance of starlings across the sky. These fluid murmurations and the beauty of collective expression have filled May’s studio in recent months, inspiring a deep exploration of movement and harmony in her work. Her landscapes are a synthesis of imagination and reference photos taken during hiking, blending real-world inspiration with artistic interpretation. Working primarily with oils, Rebekah’s latest work aims to capture the captivating essence of these aerial displays onto canvas.

Originally from New Orleans, Rebekah now resides in the lovely state of Georgia with her family of 5. She is currently building up a new body of work from her home studio.
