In her studio practice, Rebekah has sought to follow the thread of curiosity wherever it leads—often exploring the interconnectedness of our natural world with the human experience. In recent years, her creative attention has been drawn to the enchanting dance of starling murmurations. Originally inspired by seeing these abstractions in a dream, May seeks to evoke a sense of wonder and belonging for the viewer through her murmuration landscapes.

What does it mean to move as individuals within collective care, grief, joy, love, and even shared consciousness?

Originally from New Orleans, Rebekah now resides in Georgia with her three children and four-legged studio companion, Maggie. She is currently building up a new body of work from her home studio and looking forward to joining the ArtFields Festival in the Spring.
